Mac musings
John Gruber of Daring Fireball has written an excellent piece on why the recent shocker from Cringely is not feasible. I must say that of late there has been considerable interest in the community with regards the feasibility of all the following:
- Booting Windows on macs
- Windows emulation on macs
- Dual and even triple booting on Intel macs
- Apple certified "other" OS emulation
- Running Solaris on a macintosh
For those of you who haven't come across Daring Fireball before, it is a very Apple themed (minimalist ) website maintained by the aforementioned John Gruber, who writes on mac nerdery among other things. He has recently gone full time with blogging. I am of the opinion that Apple should hire him and make Daring Fireball the official Apple blog!
